Born in the farmlands of the mid-west, raised by Joe and Sue, and nurtured by the world, both physical and spiritual, Annie Weinert lives the life of a seeker.  A deep and ongoing partnership with art pulled her into the academic world.  The magic of dance beckoned to her from the stage, opening her to the enduring pursuit of expressive movement. She became an aerial silks artist, a hoop dancer, and devotee of all things energetic.  A desire to clothe the dancing body gave birth to Annieland, a beloved costume line that would, in time, evolve into the activewear line Volacious.   Curiosity drew her from the ordinary to the extraordinary world of intuition and the mystical.  And ultimately, the love of flight during lucid dreaming took her far from the known and pushed her past fear into adventure.

The passage from Illinois to Volacious is a meandering trail marked with enchanting tales.  There was the one where she moved to Haight Street with a suitcase and a hoop.  In this story, Annie finds her way to HoopGirl where she falls deeply in love with performing, teaching, and costuming.  It was here that she began to understand how deeply connected movement and self love are.  It was also here that you would notice the steady hum of the sewing machine just as much as the soft pulse of the hoop on bare skin.  Then there is the story of intuitive healing and touching hearts with the otherworldly.  It is in this chapter that Annie looks inward and upward to aid in the healing of those around her.  This is the part when she begins to understand that her purpose is greater and more exciting than she had ever dreamed.  The next episode, a crowd pleaser, has her wandering the globe, discovering an even larger purpose in this life.  In this story, she begins to tie it all together.  Is it possible to exist in a world where love, art, movement, and intuition dance perfectly together?  She believes that it is.  And given the opportunity, she will show you how.
